Topman love t-shirts. Men love t-shirts. Topman know that men love t-shirts so they’ve started putting any flavour of the month on them. It started last year when I was tempted to buy a Lady Gaga t-shirt off the Topman website but then I thought about how I would be laughed out of my English class. Topman then upped their game with their set of Raunchy playboy t-shirts which would make any self respecting man blush, unless you’re in that boys’ school near Tesco Merrion that seems to have no shame. Then things got amped up a level when Topman presented us with Rihanna t-shirts as well as a Katy Perry a la California Girls one. Soon ‘lads’ across Ireland were able to profess their love of boobs, larger and tents with ease. It was like a never ending Traffic Light Ball. However Topman may have gone too far when it created this.
What’s staring at you from this white t-shirt is none other than Amy Childs, the vajazzling star of The Only Way is Essex. A phenomenon forever indebted to The Hills and Eastenders. A phenomenon which has only been around for less than a year yet we’re staring at one of the stars faces from a t-shirt.
I’ve never been a fan of sloganed t-shirts, while they’re good for a quick chuckle it can get tiresome when you seen 10 of the same while out in a single night. And while we can always get a chuckle out of the seal from ‘Seal of Approval’, next year we’ll be wondering why Jessica Rabbit is suddenly cool again.
